Our Imperial Oaked Blonde Ale began with Mike The Brewer living on foodstamps. He had Champagne tastes and a Welch's Juice budget. Inspired by The Bruery's White Oak and Russian River's Damnation, MTB combined winemaking experience, clone recipe research (including a Lost Abby Blonde Ale clone), and a lot of guidance from mentors... and got really lucky!
More than a decade later, this is one of three non-sour ales we can reliably release with great confidence.
It's barrel fermented nature gives it a burly body of coconut, vanilla, and caramel that is both graceful yet brutish in how it assails your palate.
Not only our first beer, but perhaps the one which best encapsulates our spirit of class and trash working in unison.
